$ Cheap; 5 - 50 baht per person
$$ Inexpensive; 50-100 baht per person
$$$ Moderate; 100-250 baht per person
$$$$ High; 250-500 baht per person
$$$$$ Off the Chiang Mai scale.
All of this not including alcoholic drinks. Price levels are an approximation. Your mileage may vary.
This is really a great site and obviously a lot of work (and/or eating). Only suggestion I have is a good map index for the majority of people who are tourists; interactive if possiable. You should be able to sell or rent to a web site to recover some of your lunch money as this is much better done than any other site I have seen for Thailand. Regards.

Well done. Better observation than LP and Moon. I've been reading your site, your posts and TT for 2 months to prepare our trip in Jan or Feb 2005. I'll send you an e-mail. Thanks for all of your hard work.

Loved your site, but my all time favorite place to eat in Chiang Mai is the Whole Earth Restuarant!

Excellent reviews!! so unlike most of the junk you find on other sites.I have lived in C.M for years and am returning this year for a visit with my wife,who is Khon Meung.Some of the places I know,others I will check out ,especially that Khao Soi place you mentioned,I love the stuff!!Hope you will be doing an update in the near future.
Cheers Gary
OMG Chanchao. It must have been awful providing us with all this information. Quite a sacrifice. Now, I can't wait to get to Chiang Mai to visit these places. Only trouble is I'll gain an awful lot of weight.
